if slaughter houses had glass walls, the whole world would be vegetarian

IT'S TRUE.

I've been a locto-ovo vegetarian since may 2007, and I recently became a pescetarian (which means I eat seafood.) It started when I watched this horrible, HORRIBLE video by Peta, showing how animals are raised in today's world. I'm not saying that ALL places are like this. But a lot are.

My beliefs are changing. Sort of.

I'm coming to terms that animals eat other animals. It's the way of life for most species. But humans are different. We dont catch our prey in the wild (or not most of us). What we do is enslave the entire species, stuff them in small, dirty cages, treat them horribly, and then kill them. We're a cruel species.

So now I'm thinking that I might be mostly a vegetarian, but sometimes eat Amish meat, or animals that have been proven to be treated kindly. I wont do this too often, though. I lost 20 pounds when I stopped eating meat, clearly it's a healthier lifestyle for me.

I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this one. (Even though I know it'll only be read by Amy and Corey haha)

  1. I think it sounds like a good idea, if you can find that type of meat. Might be a little hard to find Amish meat up here, though?
